What Causes Echo, Popping, and Dropped Calls?

Most hosted VoIP providers rely on another Internet Service Provider (ISP) to connect the phones at your office or home to their network.  This means that your phone call must go over the public Internet, along with your e-mail, web browsing, video, etc., and that can delay or even drop the voice information.  Even worse still, most cable and DSL lines are shared connections, so your neighbors Internet usage can also affect your phone call quality.

To ensure clear, crisp calls, Stimulus Technologies does not rely on other networks to deliver the voice calls.  We install a dedicated T-1 line to your location and prioritize the voice calls over any other type of Internet data. In addition to this, your phone call never goes out to the public Internet.  We deliver your phone call directly to the PSTN from our network.  This means that we don't have to rely on any other provider to handle the phone calls.  It all stays on our network.
